Cradlecrown v1.5: a new face
A new logo with a civilization's masterpiece in every letter, cleaner civilization cards, a Treasury chest that fills with akçe, a library coloured by way of play and a tidier interface in matches.
This release is all about how the game looks and feels. None of the rules have changed; the game just has a new face.
A new logo
The crest is gone from the main menu. Each letter of CRADLECROWN is now a window onto a sunset, with a different civilization’s masterpiece inside it: the Ziggurat of Ur in the C, Qutb Minar in the R, the pyramids in the A, Hagia Sophia in the D, the Great Wall in the L, the Parthenon in the E, the Ishtar Gate in the second C, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the second R, the Great Stupa at Sanchi in the O, the Doge’s Palace in the W and the Lighthouse of Alexandria in the N.

Main menu
The news panel now fits on any screen size without scrolling, with the latest post in a large card and older ones underneath. The bottom-left corner has links to the privacy policy and terms, Reddit (r/cradlecrown), the developer’s site and the contact address.
Choosing a civilization, and rooms
The civilization cards are simpler now. Every effect is shown once and always in the same format: icon, value and name. The signature unit’s health, damage and range sit right under its picture, and the card takes on the colour of the civilization’s region. The selection buttons, match settings and room seats were redone as well.

The Treasury
Opening the Treasury now brings up a chest. The gold inside rises as the Treasury grows, and every time you tap the chest, akçe (Ottoman silver coins) pour into it.

The five tiers of the Cradlecrown Founder’s Pack are now laid out side by side like a ladder, so you can see at a glance what each tier adds to your account and what the higher tiers unlock. There’s also a more detailed explanation of where Treasury money goes.

Units
Archers’ arrows now have fletching and iron heads. Scimitars, dao, khopeshes and sickle-swords now face the enemy with the cutting edge; they used to be held the wrong way round. And the Akkadian swordsmen now hold their blades instead of leaving them floating in the air.
The library of civilizations
Book colours now mean something: they show each civilization’s way of play (economy, defence, infantry, ranged, cavalry or siege). A plaque at the end of each shelf introduces the region, and when you hover over a book it shows that civilization’s age, its style and which civilizations it leads to.

In matches
The town centre panel no longer covers the screen, and tax is set with a one-line selector. The player list shows the names of your opponents and allies, with a verified mark next to anyone playing under their account.
